TAXES DON’T KILL BUSINESSES IN CAMEROON!

I hear this each time I advise someone to get into a business venture in Cameroon. Some complain they don’t want to get into business because of taxes.

 
This is almost the general impression because some tax officials present themselves to contributors like tyrants wanting to pound down on them instead of guiding them on how to go about their taxes. 

I must admit here that some of our tax officials sometimes destroy businesses with their ill attitudes and their lack of discerning skills.

What kills businesses in Cameroon is not taxes but our business approaches. The way you lay down the foundation of your business is what determines the strength of that business and how you can stay away from tax authority’s wahala.
