Parenting is one of the goals of every man or woman in Africa as it is believed to be the assurance of the future, we all long for. It is believed that those who don’t have children will be forgotten as they leave this world someday because children are our greatest legacy.
Children are blessings, as clearly defined by the word of God in the Bible and even some traditional books. Certain communities in Africa celebrate the birth of a child as it signifies a brighter future for the family and the community.
Sometimes the joy of parenting and the future we hope
for our children are not accompanied by their nutrition. Parents want to feed
their children and make sure they have food to fill their stomachs, but don’t
give much attention to their healthiness and nutrition. All that matters is
that they should have food!
Most parents don’t consult nutritionists to get their
advice on the kind of food and drinks to be given to their children as they
grow. Sometimes they even beat their children who refuse to eat certain foods
that they are offered and so on.
There is no good parenting without good nutrition. You
may send your children to the best schools in the world and dress them in the
best clothes, but what they eat is much better for their health and upbringing.
Statistics have it that children that are well-fed grow healthier than those
who are not.
Every parent, especially mothers, is supposed to have
a food menu advised by a nutritionist and adapted to her children and make sure
that it is well followed. Parents need to feed their children with food that
can help them grow well and stronger.
Give them natural products like Reecaf instant tea that will fortify their immune systems and when giving them, make sure you mix it with natural honey because the sweet taste of honey will make them like it more.
