NO MIRACLE WITHOUT SWEAT

 I rarely listen to some pastors these days because of their messages that I believe have turned the Christian world in Africa into something else.

They preach messages that are contrary to the Bible’s teaching just to lure their members to give them offerings and make them rich continually.

In one of the videos, I watched recently, a pastor told his members that they would receive miracles without sweat, asking them to claim them.

I believe the Lord my God said by the labor of my hands I shall eat, and there is no gain without pain.

Some pastors' messages lead people to believe that they can focus on prayer and fasting and expect miracles to happen to lift them out of their situations.

The idea of making people think that they can get what they desire without any sweat is a completely fake religion that has taken the heads of many followers of some African pastors, especially as their mentors keep preaching that daily.

Christians should be educated on their capacity to work hard to obtain anything they want in life with the help of God, as God’s help does not wipe away hard work because he blesses our work and not our prayers or fasting. So, anyone that thinks he or she can receive anything without hard work is against the will of God, even those who preach that.

We should understand that we can obtain whatever we need only through hard work and with the help of God. If you work hard today and don’t obtain what you want, then you must understand that you must work harder till you get it. Your dependence on God as the ultimate supporter should be seen in your desire to work hard and with consistency.

This is what God wants from us, not the belief of getting to our desired goals through prayers and miracle expectancy.

In the Bible, Jesus shows us that for there to be a miracle, we should be ready to contribute something.

Even the woman in the issue of blood had to force her way to Jesus to receive instant healing. There was a need for the boy with bread and fish for there to be the multiplication of bread. 

Before there could be the miracle of the transformation of water to wine, Jesus asked the servants at the marriage in Cana to fill the jars with water. And so on.
