THE GRACE TO IDENTIFY OPPORTUNITIES.

My greatest prayer as a professional daily is for God to always give me the grace to quickly identify the opportunities that come my way. I know that without this, I can miss a lot of things.

The bitter truth in life is that every day is an opportunity, but without the grace of identifying this, many are lacking in their lives.

I entered a shop recently and engaged in a discussion with the sales lady and discovered that she was a graduate of mass communication. I asked her why she wasn’t practicing or working in a place where she could be practicing what she learned in school, and she told me it was because she knew no one that could make her work for a TV or radio station.

On hearing this, I told her that the store was enough for her to know someone who could make her enter a radio or TV station, but that she had not just understood that. Being a store sales lady allows you to meet a lot of people, and who knows, some of them may be radio or TV managers who can take her to the TV she wants to work in?

There are a lot of opportunities around us, and sometimes we don’t see them because of a lack of grace to see them. We trample on them and sometimes we even misinterpret them negatively.

Pray and ask God for the grace to recognize the opportunities around you, even as you should know that every day, every time, and everywhere you find yourself now is an opportunity. As you pray for the grace to identify the opportunities, also pray for the ability to make good use of them.
