CROSSOVER: RETHINKING CELEBRATIONS FOR A PURPOSEFUL NEW YEAR

 Crossover celebrations have evolved into lucrative events in both religious institutions and entertainment venues. This phenomenon arises from the realization that a significant amount of money is expended during crossover night, whether in churches or clubs.

In churches, individuals often contribute substantial sums through prayers and sizable financial offerings, while in clubs, revelers may deplete their annual savings on festivities.

However, I choose not to partake in either of these options, as I view them as less productive ways to usher in the new year. Instead, my focus lies in dedicating my time to refining business proposals for potential clients and critically assessing projects that hold the promise of enhancing my income in the upcoming year, 2024.

For me, there is no merit in fervently uttering "Amen" in response to dubious prophecies within the confines of a church, only to emerge with no tangible plan for the year ahead. Similarly, the allure of clubbing, with its potential to drain financial resources on excessive alcohol consumption, holds no appeal when the result is a fresh start to the year devoid of any strategic direction.

In my perspective, the most meaningful way to crossover into the new year is by meticulously perfecting an action plan tailored for 2024, commencing tomorrow. This approach stands in stark contrast to squandering hard-earned money under the guise of revelry in clubs or extravagant thanksgiving in churches.
