 In Africa, amidst myriad challenges, I often find myself pondering profound questions. The harsh reality is that the continent's development is hindered by the notable absence of actively engaged youths.

Studies reveal that over 60% of Africa's population is young, positioning it as a continent brimming with potential. Hence, it's imperative that young people play a pivotal role in shaping Africa's destiny.

Regrettably, many youths fail to grasp that Africa's improvement hinges on their active involvement. Instead, a prevalent desire to migrate abroad persists, seeking refuge in countries built by their peers in distant lands like Europe and America. But herein lies a crucial query: if Africa's youth continue to forsake their homeland, who will bear the responsibility of its development for future generations?

While leadership undoubtedly bears accountability, solely blaming them falls short. It's essential to recognise that determined youth have transformed nations, even within Africa.

The recent presidential election in Senegal serves as a beacon of hope, demonstrating the transformative power of determined youth. It underscores the potential for young people to effect positive change when they unite for a common cause.

Admittedly, the road ahead is fraught with challenges. Yet, through determination and unity, we can overcome obstacles and effect tangible change in our respective countries.
