Speaking to some youths from Cotonou in Possotomé last week during an orientation session, I told them that passion alone does not make a person. You must support your passion with hard work.
I watched a
film recently where some young girls were all in their father's house doing
nothing except spending their time talking about one person in the village to
another, to the point where they became the talk of the village, especially as
they were not also married.
At some point, they became a burden to their parents.

Watching this film brings to mind the reality we face in our world today. Many don't make efforts to have the better or improved life they want.
What we are is the product of our efforts. No effort, no result. Everyone has something special in him or her, but a lack of effort is what keeps some people in abject poverty.
You may be a graduate, a skilled person, or whatever, but if you don't make efforts, all that remains are figures and symbols.
Your passions, dreams, and visions are useless if you don't make efforts to get them realized.
Are you making efforts to better your life, or are you blaming others every day for being where you are?
